SMTP service is in w2k8 as it does in 6 on w2k3. but expect no changes and
it still runs in inetinfo.exe
To install smtp service. go server manager > add features > smtp server.

Nope, doesn't look like it. You can get the trial running to check it
out.

I did have a look at the trial, and it does only support FTP as an
additional service besides HTTP (et al).
I knew that something like this was going to happen, since the SMTP
services as of the design for IIS 7, have been transferred to Exchange.
This is no good news for the customers (maybe it is for the exchange
group).
