Re: Mail messages won't leave queue

Thanks for replying Steve! The messages aren't even posting to the BadMail
directory. At this point I'm really confused on the whole thing. I tried
using the SMTPDiag tool, but when I try to run the application a command
prompt window briefly flashes on the screen and goes away. I would really
like to start from scratch because I think that my settings may be screwed up
now. I'm not sure what to set for settings such as

Delivery-Advanced:
Masquerade domain
Fully-qualified domain name
Smart Host

Default Virtual SMTP Server-Domains

Can you please be very detailed if you include instructions because I'm
fairly new at this.

Thanks

This sounds like a DNS issue. You can use SMTPDiag to troubleshoot sending
email from your server.

You might want to verify if your internet provider allows having a mail
server. From what you are describing, that is the common reasons email
doesn't relay. If they are ending up in the badmail folder, please post the
error listed.

Hey Guys,

I am testing my smtp service on my windows server 2003 machine. I drop a
mail message in the "Pickup" directory under mailroot, however every mail
message that I have sent gets stuck in the queue. Has anyone had or heard
of
this problem before? Please advise.

Main Problem:
Mail will not leave queue.
