It doesn't seem that my first message went through so
trying again...
1. I want to make sure I have prevented open relaying. I
am using encrypted file access for my POP3 server. In the
SMTP settings, under Access I have selected "Anonymous"
and "Integrated Windows" authentication types. Under
Relay settings, I have checked "Only the list below" (and
there is nothing in the list) and "Allow authenticated
users to relay". If I understand correctly, the server
will not allow Anonymous users to relay, since anonymous
access is not an authentication type, and so has nothing
to do with letting authenticated users relay.
2. The help makes reference to using Authenticated POP to
encrypt the user name/password, but I can't find anywhere
to set this.
3. The server's alert e-mails will not send. I have tried
telling it to use the SMTP server at 127.0.0.1, at the
external IP address, at the computer name, and at the
FQDN of the server. None will work.
4. What's the best way to get rid of NDR messages from
Badmail, just set up a scheduled task to delete them?
Thanks in advance.
