Jenny thanks
The scenarios you outline are what I too would expect
given my experience with Exchange 2003. But it is
accepting all mail as explained previously. Feel free to
have a go - 81.31.107.239 - it's only a test server.
set up as follows:
Authentication - 3 main boxes ticked, default domain added
Relay - Only the list below (which is blank)
- Allow all computers which successfully
authenticate... is ticked
Domains:
Local(default) is just the FQN of the server
Local(normal) is [silly_string]._msdcs.[domain]
A few remote domains added because these are the domains I
want Brightmail to process mail for. Their format is:
Allow incoming mail to be relayed to this domain
Forward all mail to smarthost [192.168.100.124]
It was certainly doing this before the Brightmail service
was started but the only way to test properly would be for
me to remove brightmail completely - which I will do if
this posting doesn't bring anything to light.
Thanks for your help
Jason
