vdir by design is not listed under normal dir listing.
the trick for this is to create a physical folder with the same name
underneath the ftp root. or the location path root.

Hi Boe,
I'm afraid I can't help with your problem, but I figure that you might be
able to help me. I am trying to create a virtual directory under an FTP
site in IIS7, but the directory does not seem to show up in the directory
listing on the client. Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I'm playing with 2008 server right now. For some reason it seems to
take a very long time to connect to my 2008 FTP virtual directory.
Once it connects, I can transfer files but it takes a long time to
connect.
