Re: secure FTP

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi ,
Yes you cant fulfill your all desire with iis5 please go through permission
wizard to do secure that. You can also give exclusive NTFS permission on that
folder that is share for ftp . if possible you can also assign Specific IP
address access on that ftp location .you can buy some third party tools for
the same .

All the best

IIS does not do secure FTP. (I don't know why, I would like it too. Stupid
Microsoft.)

To use FTP and make it secure, you need to use a different third party FTP
server, which are all either expensive or crappy (if not both). So,
probably your best bet is to use Google and start digging through the
features and costs of the ones out there to find one that suits you.

You can, however, run WebDav via HTTPS. If your end users or end apps can
use that method to transfer files, that will do what you need to do.
