Re: FTP site command names

Do you have admin-GUI access to this server? There are lots of checks
that are designed to keep someone from bootstrapping themselves into being
able to run commands on the server if you don't have the cooperation of the
admin. So unless you are the server owner it will be a bit tricky (and
probably not a good idea to piss off the admin).

But if you own and run the server, you don't need to do that as you would
have access by means other than FTP.

I have been searching a way to run a batch file on a server remotely
through
a FTP connection. I have been told to use site and a sitecommandname.
However, I am unable to find anything that explains how to create or do
this.
My client is WS_FTP which can run the site "sitecommandname" and the
server
I am connecting to is a Windows 2003 FTP Server. I can copy my batch file
their but need to be able to execute it remotely on that server. Any
assistance would be appreciated.
