No write access for users with home folder in W.2003

Hi everyone,
I have just set up a FTP server, in Windows 2003. iis with user
separation according to AD. Some users have their home folders on the
Windows 2003 server, the same that is running the ftp server. Other
users have their home folders on an older Windows 2000 server. All
users can log on to their ftp account and get their files.
The problem is: users with home folders on the 2003 server have no
write access to their folder (error 550, access denied). Users on the
2000 server have write access and can put files, no problem.
The permissions on directories are the same on both servers, so really
I can't see where the problem is. The 2003 firewall is disabled. Both
servers are behind an IPCOP firewall, but that does not seem to be the
problem as it still occurs when FTPing directly to the local IP from
inside.
I am really puzzled and dunno what to try next, so any help will be
appreciated. Thanks,
Alain
.
