Not sure as to why you would want to include the username in the url. You
have two choices for security when setting up the FTP site in IIS. "Allow
Annonymous Access" will not require a username or password. Pretty much open
to the public so it is not a good thing to do. Unchecking this option will a
login box window to appear and a username and password is require. If they
are on the ame domain all is require is their login name. If from a
different domain then they will need to supply domain/username and password.
I would like to be able to set up a FTP server for all my clients. I can
set
the FTP part up somewhat but when I try and log in it keeps bringing the
username and password box up. If somebody could give me a good idea how
to
do this it would be great. I would like the url to be like ftp://members.skytex.net/USERNAME. How do I do this.
