What is the best design-where should FTP home directory reside

    I have Question about designing best FTP site,
    What is the best design from security point of view...
    1.Should FTP site's home directory reside on IIS computer or it should
    reside on sperate File-Server)
    My concern is,is it safe to keep uploaded files on IIS box..?

    Any thoughts
