so in other words, you guys are saying that this is now set up as an FTP
should be for a user/users to write to it and that from here on in everything
else is controlled via NTFS permissions, correct?

then tell you what, i'll scrap this user entirely and create a different
user account to start over and test that, because this user does not have
permissions to the folders yet can write a file to them.
