Then the first thing to do is to cut out the browser - try using the
command-line FTP client with Windows. You should be able to log on with
your user name and password, and then do a "dir" to get a list of the files
in your home directory.
If you can not, then this is a connectivity problem that is caused either
by your router, or your ISP (some ISPs block their users from running
servers).
