Oh, I see we can't continue this offline - I don't know your email address.

My apologies for the way I said that. I wish I could take it back.

I did not know that. I don't frequent that group. It just seemed to be the
most relevant group for your question.

Excellent!

That does not sound like a problem with either databases or ASP ...
I know, I should not be gloating. I am happy you found the solution.

Again, instead of countering my arguments, you impugn my motives. Finding it
hard to admit that you were wrong? Well, I can understand that. Most people
find it hard to accept criticism. It's a sign of maturity when somebody can
realize they are being obstinate and admit they are wrong.
Look, I was not trying to be the boss. It would be ridiculous if I was. I
have no control over who posts what or where.
I was trying to advise you how to better utilize the newsgroups to get the
answers to your problems. You will find that your newsgroup experience will
be much smoother if you are aware of the community standards. For example,
multiposting is very annoying. You will discover this for yourself the first
time you take time out of your day to answer a question on one group only to
find that the problem has already been resolved on another group.

You don't see my name there because it is useless to reply to commercial
postings. People who are posting spam have no regard for the rules of the
groups, or the standards of the community. They are not intending to
contibute to or utilize the groups they are vandalizing.
You, on the other hand, have been a contributing member of this community
(and I hope you wil continue to be), so, instead of ignoring you, I tried to
advise you. Eventually I hope you will realize that every piece of advice I
gave you was correct (except for the "!@@# off" part of course )
