Have Windows XP Pro/SP2 and AVG as Anti-Virus. Using the Windows Firewall.

Have not loaded any programs or made any system changes in months.

I have been creating and working with Activer Server Pages for some time
without incident.

Last night, tried to load a couple of my pages by double clicking on them
but Windows was unable to identify the ASP file type. It has associated ASP
file type with Photoshop and uses the Adobe PageMaker Table icon????? It
does, however, recognize ASA extensions (global.asa file) as an Active Server
Document.

Under the Windows Explorer window, I right click the file and choose
properties. Windows is associating the ASP file type with Photoshop. When I
do the same from FrontPage, the ASP is not known. I've tried performing
system and IIS restores to earlier versions without success. Needless to say,
ASP should be recognized as an Active Server Document without an associatec
program.

I've got to much stuff set up on this computer to start fresh. What do I do
- is there an alternative to the MS trap of passing the buck onto their
vendors for support????

Thanks, Tom Seroogy Happy Vaio Owner
