Im using:

OleCreate(CLSID_WebBrowser, IID_IOleObject, OLERENDER_DRAW, 0, site,
storage, (void**)&mpWebObject);

and do not see mtv.com freeze - and it does get the document complete.

Otherwise, Im at a loss as to why you dont see it complete. You are not
doing anything with the hosts file right? nothing that might be trying
to scrape out ads? could it be some antivirus thing gone haywire?

Does this happen on more than one computer?
