IWebBrowser2 thread safety

Can anyone say anything definitive (maybe even "official") about the thead
safety of IWebBrowser2? That is, how safe is it to pass off (and use,
obviously) a referece to an IWebBrowser2 interface to a thread of my own (in
a BHO or deskband in this case)?
