Ok. Great. Thanks Igor. This page has a sample cpp code too to
implement toolbars. BTW, if I write a new cpp file, what is the
windows package that I should compile with ? For example, where do I
have "CommBand.h" - does it come along with some SDK ?

Had you patience sufficient to read through to the end of the article,
you might possibly have noticed a link to the sample code at the bottom:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/shellcc/platform/shell/programmersguide/samples/bands/readme.asp

Also, I want to create a single toolbar button that will have a drop
down menu and inside which I would like to have more options that will
do many different things.

There is no supported documented way to do this. For an unsupported
somewhat documented way, see

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dhtmltechcol/cols/dnwebteam/webteam11062001.asp

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not
necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to
land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly
overhead. -- RFC 1925
