Re: Proxy Authorization Question

Just becuase IE7 and Firefox both use Tabs does not mean they function the
same way internally or accomplish the Tabs in the same way.

A new Tab in IE is not a new "browser instance",...and new browser window is
(as far as I know).
That doesn't mean Firefox functions in the same way.

I have setup a Wi-Fi network for 3rd parties at our offices to provide
Internet access via a proxy server (provided by an ISA2006 Server).
Without
going into major details I have configured a Firewall Policy that requires
authentication to access external sites and have defined the internal
network
to use integrated authentication.

My question/problem is that if I open a browser session using IE7 the user
is prompted for their user id and password as expected; however when they
open another copy of IE7 (rather than use tabbed browsing) they are
prompted
for credentials again; as they are if the close the browser. Initially I
though this was just a security setting that kept the credentials only for
that tcp session. However I performed the same tests using Firefox and I
wasn't prompted for credentials. I ithought it was a security enhancement
in
IE7 and found a few references ton the forum but none fixed it. I also
tried
the same thing with IE6 and had the same problem.

Any help appreciated
