Re: Newbie question about configuration.

Sorry if I did not explain myself well enough, but I have already worked out
how to redirect to a website.

I have also denied access to certain files from being downloaded. What I
need to know is can I redirect the default ISA page that comes up when a
user tries to download a file I have denied access to? Say to another URL.?

This is how I block specific file extensions.

Go to the outbound HTTP Rule you are working with and select the Protocols
Tab.
Click the Filtering Button at the bottom and choose HTTP
Select the Extensions Tab
Set the drop-down list to "Block specified extensions"
Click "Add"
I added .pdf for testing purposes at the moment.

Hi,

What I want to know, and its probably a basic answer, is when I block
specific web sites or downloads the page that is displayed is the default
ISA error page. I have worked out how to direct to another web page for
banned sites but can I do the same if someone tries to download a file
that I have denied access to? If so how?

go into the Rule that denies the website. The first Property page that
denies the request is the right place where you can redirect to a personal
webpage.
