Re: TS disconnects after minimized a couple minutes

Hi,

In Windows 2000 client machines we have Terminal Services Client Version 5
and in Windows XP client machines we have RDP client (come installed in
Windows XP Pro) .

We have three machines running outside the SBS 2003 LAN (Windows 2000
Server, Windows Server 2003, and Windows XP Pro). They all have terminal
servers running. The interesting thing is this behaviour is common across
all these three terminal servers WHEN you connect to them any client
machines from SBS 2003 LAN. However, if you take the same client machine
outside the SBS 2003 LAN (for example a laptop) at your home then this
behaviour completely disappears.

On top of that I can connect and leave the terminal session on for hours
from my home PC so there is nothing wrong with any of those terminal
servers.

If you or anyone else reading this mail feel it this way then I do
apologise
for my attitude. It wasn't my intention to be rude at all. Thanks.

OK, no big deal, we all have funny days.

So about your problem - what TS client are you using... the old one, or
the
newer RDP client. Also, are you seeing this with *any* TS outside your
network, or just a particular one (that is, did you try with other
Terminal
Servers or just one).
