The ideal environment for ADAM includes the following:
. A computer running Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition; Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition; Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition; or Windows XP Professional and containing hardware that meets the minimum hardware requirements of each respective operating system
You can install ADAM in a server running SQL, a default ISA2004 EE edition have SQL (MSDE) and ADAM working together. ADAM is an LDAP repository so does not use SQL. SQL is used by ISA to store tithe logs info and ADAM to store the configurations info.

About ADAM, what are the minimal harware and software configuration? Is it possible to install it on a Windows 2000 Server ? Is it possible to install it on a SQL Server (I know that ADAM use MSDE)?
Thanxs for your help,
TeKiT

Hi everyone, just few questions about isa server 2004 :
# What about ISA services account(s) ?
I have read that using Windows 2000 ISA must use local acount(s) and using Windows 2003 ISA must use domain accounts ... is that right ?
Not true. You can work with local and or domain accounts in both ISA2000 and ISA2004.
How many accounts are used ?
I´m not sure what you have in mind with this question. There are no accounts number considerations.
What are their roles ?
I´m not sure what you have in mind with this question.
What must be there rights ?
I´m not sure what you have in mind with this question.
#What About ADAM what is the minimal & recommanded ?
Minimal what?
What abouts Accounts (local or domain) and ACLs ? Is a reboot requiered after installation ?
If it is after install ISA2004, yes.
#Using Surf Control
Today we use only ISA 2000 for autentification & caching. All the request are forward to SurfControl plugin...
Anyone use SurfControl with ISA 2004 ... what's about the rule to created ?
#Cache installation Is there a guide to know how to install and configure cache in ISA 2004 ?
The help manual of the product have a lot of information about it. Are you looking for something special?
#Logs Where are the logs ? on each ISA server or in ADAM ?
Logs can be kept in text files or SQL, not in ADAM.
Thank you very much for your help ...
Regards,
.
