I am getting ready to setup an ISA Server and I need a lot of advice.
My environment:
400 Users
50 + Servers
Netware & Windows NT & 2000 - haven't moved up to AD - working on that
(3) T3's provide connection
Currently using Bordermanager firewall & Groupwise email - working on that
too ;-)
Preparing IIS 6.0 web server to implement along with ISA
Now my first round of questions:
Do I have to be running AD to implement an ISA Server?
Should this be the only app on the server, or would running IIS be ok?
What kind of long-term storage does it require?
Is ISA cluster aware so that I can create a failover cluster?
On the server, what takes the most punishment - processor, RAM, or hard
drives (so I know where to get "beefy")
Any quick and dirty "getting started" white papers, books, links?
Advisories? Warnings? Short cuts?
Any and all advice, comments and information is appreciated.
Thanks,
Joyce
