Re: Web Browser Direct Access not working.

Now I am confused. So I cannot use the default ISA autoproxy script and
direct access a specified web site? It says in that document Jim provided
that you may use the script instead of WPAD and the script gathers it's data
from the list of entires under "Directly access these server or domains:".

Using DHCP and DNS To assign WPAD doesn't work for me in our environment.
Group Policy is working but it doesn't do like it says which is "Directly
Access these servers or domains" I see under monitoring it is still using
the Web Proxy filter it doesn't swtich to NAT.

server.domain.com resolves to a public IP 72.32.12x.xxx. The ISA sees it
as
just a public IP Address as there are no rules or anything associated with
that IP Address.

Ok. So you really are not "bypassing" anything. You are simply having to
jockey things so that it uses a certain ISA "service" over another. But ISA
will still get used anyway.

Example:
Preventing the Web Proxy Service from taking control causes it to fall back
to the Firewal Service or the SecureNAT Service of the FWC is not installed.

Preventing both the Web Proxy and Firewall Service from getting involved
causes it to fall back to the SecureNAT Service.

Preventing all three Services from being involved just simply causes it to
fail totally unless the LAN independently has a means to privide a separate
path to the destination.

If you use proxy autodetection with WPAD (*not* GPOs) then you will have
much better luck with this.

Jim's link should take care of you.
