Re: Web Browser Direct Access not working.

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

The browser is configured via a group policy to enable automatic
configuration and have an auto-proxy URL of
http://isa.domain.com:8080/array.dll?Get.Routing.Script.

AS the document you sent me states

"Web Proxy clients can use a configuration script to automatically update
browser settings. Clients can use such a configuration script in addition to
WPAD automatic discovery, or as an alternative.

ISA Server provides a default configuration script at the location
http://FQDN:8080/array.dll?Get.Routing.Script, where FQDN is the FQDN of the
ISA Server computer. This script contains the settings specified on the Web
Browser tab of the network properties. Web Proxy clients will be
automatically updated with this information if their settings are enabled to
use the configuration script.

For Web Proxy clients not running on Firewall client computers, you
configure the Web browser properties to use a configuration script. To do
this, in Internet Explorer, click the Internet Options menu. Click the
Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings. On the Local Area Network (LAN)
Settings tab, click Use automatic configuration script to specify the
location of the configuration script. Alternatively, you can use Group Policy
to specify the location of the script.

We do not use the firewall client.

How is the browser configured?
Unless the browser acquires the script from ISA, it has no way to get those
settings.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb794779.aspx should help.

I am trying to bypass the ISA Server for a specific site for example.
server.domain.com.

Under the Web Browser tab I have all options checked and server.domain.com
listed under directly access these servers or domains. We use a group
policy
with and auto-config and auto-proxy url which points to the default
http://isaserver.domain.com:8080/array.dll?Get.Routing.Script for both
auto-config and auto-proxy.

When I look at the script the server.domain.com is listed under exceptions,
but when monitoring the ISA it is still going thourgh the ISA Server. What
am I doing wrong here?
