Hi There,
Because your using a GP to set the Proxy Settings it sounds like you may
have the GP object called "Disable Changing Proxy Settings" in the "User
Configuration/Windows Componants/Internet Explorer" enabled?.
I experienced a similar scenario as the user was not able to connect to the
domain that gave the laptop the GP originally, so it wouldn't allow the
laptop to pick up any other settings due to it only going through the
corporate ISA, so you might also need to set the GP Object called "Aotomatic
Browser Configuration" in the "Internet Explorer Maintenance" section of your
Group Policy to automatically detect settings, or you can look at
implementing a WPAD solution for you clients via GP and setting your "Auto
Discovery" tab in the "Configuration/Networks/Internal Network" properties in
ISA.
I may be way off par on this, but I thought it was similar to the issue I
had and the above resolved it...so Good Luck Mate!

We recently deploy Microsoft ISA 2006 server with Active Directory user-based.
authentication (configured using Group Policy). Everything went good until
our senior managers can't use the Internet when connecting their laptops to
wireless hotspot at airports. The problem is that IE is trying to look for
our proxy server and of course display an error message as IE can't find our
proxy server on the airport's wireless network. Has any one face a similar
problem? Please help...
