RE: OWA 403 access denied error

I'll gather the info and send it to you. Just for clarification, there is no
error message when publishing the OWA rule.

Thanks

Hello Steve,

Thank you for using newsgroup!

From your post, I suggest you first check if you have configured ISA Server
2006 to publish Exchange 2007 OWA.

In addition, please collect the following information so that we can
perform further research (v-kzhao@xxxxxxxxxxxxx):

1. Screenshot of the Error Message
------------------------------------------
Please send me the screen shot of the error message when you try to publish
OWA.

2. ISA Info 2004/2006
------------------------------------------
1) Download the following tool:
http://www.isatools.org/isainfo/isainfo.zip
or http://www.isatools.orgÕÒµ½; ISAInfo for ISA 2004/2006
2) Extract the file to ISA Server and run ISAInfo.js. Send the two files
.xml .log to me.

3. ISA 2006 BPA
------------------------------------------
Make sure the latest version of ISABPA is installed on the ISA box.

Start a command prompt, change directory into:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft IsaBPA>
Run "IsaBpaPack.exe +Repro"
Send the analyze file to me.

| I am getting a 403 access deneid error when trying to publish owa. Isa
| server is 2006 and Exchange is 2007. OWA works wihout ISA but not
through
| it. Here is some config data
|
| Internal AD site "MyDomain.Net"
| Exchange is "mail.mydomain.net"
| Email domain is "mydomain.com"
| Isa is configured to answer to "owa.mydomain.com" but exists in the
| "mydomain.net" and forwards the request to "mail.mydomain.net/exchange"
| owa.mydomain.com certificates are provided by cert.mydomain.net and is
| trusted by the ISA server. OWA works correctly from the ISA server, from
the
| internet however, it fails with a 403 error. The ISA log denies the
access
| with the default rule. The log also shows port 137 denied coming from
the
| machine requesting owa.mydomain.com.
|
| I hope I provided enough info to help determine the problem because I am
out
| of ideas.
|
| Thanks
| Steve
