Im very confused by your statement - yes anything that has a private
address and ends up on a public address does have to go through NAT -
but the point of the message before is that it does have (and need) a
public address, and yes the ISA rules allow access to it via the
external interface of the ISA box... i dont know how much more simply
i can state it.
An no phillip, if there are access rules on the ISA allowing traffic
to a public IP's and the network relationship is to route (or in this
case just hit the external IP) there is no NAT or proxying.
On the last message, you are correct it is a PPPoe connection - which
from a bit of looking around, other people seem to be having some
relaibaility issues with this too. Unfortunately it has been fine for
the past 2 years and im unable to work out what has changed to
introduce this "new" instability for me....
