Re: Firefox Browser not showing up in ISA reports

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Setup a web page in the "lite" IIS on your machine. Install Netmonitor or
some other packet sniffer on the machine and then install Firefox and Opera.
Then with the packet sniffer running open the Page in IIS with each
browser,..then examine the packets and see how the browsers each identify
themselves.

If the sniffer doesn't pick them up properly then run the browsers from
another machine.

Hi folks;

A lot of people visiting my website are using Firefox yet when I run a
report on ISA 2004 it just says 'Unknown' for browser type.

Strangely enough, browsers such as versions of Opera, which have nearly
zero
usage on my site, are all listed.

Anyone know why Firefox is not listed as a web browser? Should I -gasp-
read
something into this?
