I'd have no idea then.
There is probably something wrong in the way you are handling authentication
in the Publishing, I don't know what to suggest.

We've already configured our ISA login page to throw the domain\ in fornt
of
user names. Just as a test, though i did try to take the domain\ back out
and
the issue continues on these couple of computers.

They have to prefix the user name with the domain that the account exists

Username: domain\username
Password: ***********
The "home user" OS and also any non-domain member of any OS are not
capable
to specifying to ISA what locaation to look for the accounts.

The only thing that has changed, is that I recenlty re-configured ISA
to
use
persistent cookies. However, this problem only pops up on about 15 (of
about
1500) users computers, usually they have new HP laptops.

I'm publishing Sharepoint 2007 and Exchange 2007 using ISA 2006 and
for
some
reason, users who have the Vista Home editions, cannot login to the
ISA
server. When they enter credentails and hit the login button, the
credentials clear and they are left on the ISA login page.
I've added the sites to trusted sites in IE as well as under cookie.
I've
also dropped the IE security settings on the computers, shut off a/v
and
firewalls, etc. However this problem persists, only affecting Vista
Home
users.
The ISA page works fine under Vista Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate
editions.
I've also used alternative browsers on the problem computers with the
same
results.
Anybody have any idea what might cause this and/or how to fix it?
