Sorry, Phil; that's incorrect.
The authentication method is not changed by modifying the user
credentials.
I didn't mean it would change the method, only that his tool might only be
able to use Basic, and he should try prefixing the domain in front of the
user name in any case. For example the Java JRE we run here always prompts
for credentials on non-Firewall Clients (Web Proxy only) and the username
has to be prefixed with the domain,..the NTLM -vs- Basic thing aside. I
pretty much always run the Firewall Client then I don't have to worry about
it.
