I don't think it is related to IE security settings. We started to use ISA
proxy server around 2 months ago, we browsed Internet via CheckPoint Firewall
before. My users told me no problem occurred when we were still using
CheckPoint Firewall. After rolling out ISA as proxy server, the problem
occurred.
Moreover, I can reproduce the same problem on my Corproate standard XP
image, a fresh install XP (not cloned from image) and set the security of IE
to be so loose (allow all unsigned ActiveX, install and so on), and the
problem still persists.
Meanwhile, I could find two "Failed Connection Attempt" in the Live Log of
Microsoft ISA Management tool of my access to following two URLs:
http://activex.microsoft.com/objects/ocget.dll
http://www.adobe.com/images/globalnav/dropdown/tab_capB.png
I had verified and checked against the Access Rule of ISA server, I was
allowed to browse any "External" sites over http, https, TCP8080.
I have also installed Microsoft Firewall Client on one of the domain XP for
testing, whereas, all effect is in vain, and the same symtom was observed.
Any ideas what is going wrong?

My users reported that they could not install Adobe Flash Player from
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/flash/trigger/en/2/index.html.
I could reproduce the said problem no matter I used "Automatically Detect
settings" or "Use automatic configuration script" or manually configure the
proxy setting of IE.
If the Adobe Flash Player is successfully installed, then I shoule be able
to see the message "Adobe Flash Player successfully installed" shown on the
web page, whereas, I could not see the message after clicking "Install"
button to install the Adobe Flash Player.
Is Microsoft Firewall Client required for the said install? Or special
configuration on either client side or ISA server is required?
Thanks.
