Re: Web Publishing Rules no longer work after upgrading from ISA2004 to 2006

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Yes I tried that. See bellow for post I made in another forum with a
discription of what I'd done so far to fix my issues and the discription of
a related but new issue.

I have two issues that I believe are related.

Background: Very simple small network. Was running ISA 2004 and everything
worked fine. Published several websites and a single Exchange server.
Exchange Web Mail worked perfectly along with one site that required users
to log onto one page with in the site.

Upgraded to ISA 2006. Websites stopped working. Had to update every Web
Publishing Rule's Authentication Delegation to "No Authentication, Client
can not authentication directly" for the websites to work again.

Now I find that I still can not access Exchange Web Mail and on the site
that needs authentication to access one page that page does not come up.
When trying to access either I receive the following error in the browser.

Technical Information (for support personnel)

Error Code: 403 Forbidden. The server denied the specified Uniform Resource
Locator (URL). Contact the server administrator. (12202)

Remember that this is a very simple setup and I'd like to keep it that way.
I'm not running certs or doing anything short of publishing these websites
to the internet.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Really simple problem but I can't find the answer. Web publishing worked
fine with ISA 2004 but since upgrading to 2006 all my published webs are
not available.

did you tried to recreate one web publishing rule?
Are there any messages in the ISA monitoring dashboard?

regards Jens
