Re: Web application really slow

2. Try to disable application level filters in ISA.
WOW ... THANKS!!! I had the same problem. Disabling the app level filters
really fixed that.
However, does this means I wont be able to have some form of monitoring
going?
Or do i need a REALLY powerful machine for an ISA server meant for bandwidth
monitoring and routing?
(we're just hosting our own company web application ... dont see a lot of
load but response time is critical... i having so many complaints right
now...)

Thanks again.

Hello

I'm not sure if anyone can help me, but I am looking for some
pointers.

A group of users who use a web-based application (located on systems
external to my organisation) are complaining that it is really slow.
My setup is as follows:

1. Internet gateway speed of 6Mbps
2. WebMarshal proxy server chained to an ISA Server 2000 box
3. Internet connectivity is fine - no speed issues
4. Application bypasses WebMarshal proxy and ISA caching is disabled
for the applications URL

Anymore information I can give you, or do you have any ideas where I
can look? I'm an ISA Server newbie so be gentle!

Thanks

1. Try to monitor server load with perfmon.
2. Try to disable application level filters in ISA.
3. If you can try to give direct access to this users to their web app
and see if it will improve performance.
