ruleDoes ISA 2006 give you a way to send an e-mail alert when some
access
is triggered?
AFAIK not possible with built in features of ISA 200x. You can use
e-mail for some type of alerts but not when a rule applies.
Possible with the ISA SDK? or some type of programming?
It's one of my favorite features in Checkpoint. Really wish
Microsoft would add that one.
Excuse my confusion here, but what's the point?
You have either Allow or Deny rules.
Having an e-mail alert on an Allow rule seems pointless because presumably
that user is authorized to perform that action.
Having the alert on a Deny rule shows you that somebody tried to access the
outside world when they are not authorized to. ISA stopped them, nothing to
act on.
