Just install the Firewall client on all the laptops, enable automatic
discovery on the network, and everything will work like a charm.

On our network we have a problem regarding laptops trying to access
the internal proxy server before connecting to the internet. The
problem occurs when the laptops are outside the network, since it
cant locate the proxy server the laptops are unable to access the
internet. We can manually disable the use of the proxy server in IE -
tools, internet options, connections, lan settings, -- this of course
overrides the Active Directory GPO we have setup for all users to use
the proxy server (under User Configuration\IE Maintenance\Proxy
Settings). My question is - is there a script we can run during logon
in that can check if the laptop is on the network (auto detection),
if not then it will bypass use of the proxy server and if so it will
use the proxy server? basically we want to take the disabling tasks
out of the users hands. Any suggestions when be appeciated in
resolving this problem. Also is there anything else in Active
Directory that I can do?
