I have done this and still am getting the same error. its like the ISA
sever is not authenticating the domain accounts. if the account is local it
works great.

The Domain needs to be included in the credentials.
The Dialup Connetoid on the user's machine can be configured to show all
three lines,...or you can pre-pend it to the username the same as it shows
in the error message.

I have enabled vpn client access on my ISA 2004 server. the problem is
that
none of my active directory users can connect. They get:
"Error 691: Access was denie because the username and/ or password was
invalid on the domain."
the alert message in ISA is:
"The VPN connection attempt by user domain\user from VPN client IP
address
192.168.1.24 could not be established.
The failure is due to error: 0xc0040021"
But if I use the local administrator account of the isa server I am able
to
connect. Any ideas?
