RE: LDAP authentication with UPN - ISA 2006

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi,

Yes, by user@domain, I mean user@xxxxxxxxxx (or, technically, in my case its
user@xxxxxxxxxx).

Thanks,
I. Kinal

Hello Kinal,

Thank you for using newsgroup!

Based on my research, we can use the following format when using LDAP
authentication:

user@xxxxxxxxxx
domain\user

Please help us confirm if you are using the user@xxxxxxxxxx string other
than user@domain.

Thanks & Regards,

Ken Zhao

| Hi,
|
| Has anyone been able to get LDAP authentication working when using a UPN?
| Everything works just fine when I use domain\user, but user@domain
completely
| refuses to work. In fact, when I monitor activity in ISA, using
domain\user,
| I get an entry with a username of (LDAP)username even before the LDAP
server
| is contacted, but with user@domain, the same entry shows a username of
| anonymous. Similar story with adding a user to a user set - domain\user
works
| fine, while user@domain gives an invalid user error. All of the
documentation
| states that either format should work, but ISA 2006 seems to not be able
to
| recognize the user@domain format at all.
|
| Thanks,
| I. Kinal
