Re: Firewall services crash after applying latest patches+attempting to install ISA 2004 SP2

This sounds like a botched installation of Service Pack 2 for ISA. I would
reapply the service pack, see if it fixes the problem. Then if you want to
go back to SP1 you can export all your rules/firewall config, and re-import
them later on, on a freshly built SP1 configuration (provided uninstalling
SP2 leads to problems again).

Awful problem. During critical patches installation on one of my ISA 2004
nodes, mistankely I let the critical updates attempt to install ISA 2004
SP2:
Latest Windows critical patches were installed OK, then the critical
updates dialog box pop up saying that ISA 2004 SP2 install failed.
When I rebooted the ISA 2004 node, the firewall services failed to start
and consistently gives the error below. I removed all recently installed
Windows critical patches and rebooted server, but didn't improve the
situation. Note that ISA 2004 snap-in tells me that ISA 2004 SP2 is not
installed.

Anyone there has an idea on how to solve the error below ?
