Jim,
Thanks for the reply. I decided to hold off anyways since the issue isn't
huge and the server is doing what it's supposed to (blocking users) it's
just annoying. I'll be glad to wait for the fix. Any idea what the KB
article will be for it?

Hi Mike,
I've been asked to ask you not to call.
The fix for this issue will be released officially very soon and the
announcement will be made then.
Thanks for your patience...

Jim,
Thanks for the help. Do you know how soon the "official" fix will be
released?

1. Call PSS
2. Tell them I sent you
3. Ask for the private fix for ISA SE 35956
Note - this fix is still undergoing internal testing If you do not wish
to participate in this testing, then please wait for the
official fix announcement.

We are running ISA 2004 Standard in single NIC mode for
caching/proxying/access control only. We setup two firewall rules on the
server. The first rule blocks all outbound traffic (really only HTTP and
FTP) for users belonging to a certain group. The second rule allows all
users part of another group access to the Internet. Also defined on the
"Internal" network in the Domains tab there is a list of domains and IP
addresses that the clients should bypass the proxy for. This is how we
control which sites the first group is allowed to go to.
We use an automatic configuration script that is pushed down to the
machines
via a GPO. For some reason however we have a number of Windows 2000
machines (IE 6 SP1) that when they try to go to sites that are not in the
domains tab get /?%20 added to the beginning of the address. For example
if
I try to go to www.cnn.com on the machine I get http:///?%20www.cnn.com
and
it says it can't find the server. While this works to stop the user's
from
going to the sites why is it adding those extra characters? I would
prefer
it to go to the default ISA not allowed page.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Mike
