I was wondering how I get ISA to prompt the user for a username and
password like ISA 2000 does. Note that if a user is in the group assigned
to the rule I mentioned above, they can get to the Internet just fine. So
my rule works... it just does not prompt the user if they do not have
access.
It appears you were using basic authentication on the web proxy with ISA2000
but now are using integrated authentication in ISA 2004. Re-enable basic
authentication which should bring back the prompt (integrated auth does
everything in the background, behind the scenes, so that's why there's no
prompt).
To re-enable basic auth you need to go in the properties of the "Internal"
object, "Web Proxy" tab, "Authentication" section.
