Replacing PIX with ISA howto
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Morning,
I'm trying to replace a Cisco PIX firewall with ISA 2004 standard. I
was curious if this would work and seeing some instructions on how to
do it:
Current network (colocated):
65.99.190.128/26
129 - gateway (PIX)
191 - broadcast
130-190 - available to use (protected)
External router sends all traffic for that range through .129. All
machines in the protected (internal) range use public IP's
(65.99.190.182 for example) with .129 as the gateway.
I would like to replace the PIX with ISA without re-numbering all the
internal addresses. Here are my questions:
1) Is it possible?
2) Is there a wizard or best practices article for doing this, and if
not would anybody mind sharing several quick tips that might save me a
lot of time.
Thanks in advance.
