If I understand correctly, Windows 2003 SP1 eliminates the need to setup a "heartbeat" between ISA 2004 NLB nodes. That means that I can use servers
setup as NLB with only two NIC's per server.
Do I gain anything performance wise if I keep the heartbeat/intra-array
configuration ? I am wondering whether the elimination of the
heartbeat/intra-array configuration could cause more traffic in the External
or Internal NIC's that are members of the NLB...

I find it very strange why the NLB driver can receive on a virtual IP ... he set his IIS website to use ALL UNASSIGNED addresses rather than ... specifically pointing it at the single virtual cluster address. ...
