My first recomendation is to get rid of the idea of mapped drives. Use
"shortcuts" instead. They can be placed anywhere you want, desktop, "my
documents", etc. They don't use resources like mapped drives do and they do
not suffer from the idle-time disconnects that mapped drives do.
I don't use login scripts and I avoid using them intensionally, so I am not
entirely sure how you would make one run, but if there is a way, this might
be it,...The user's machine must be a member of the domain and the at their
"Ctrl-Alt-Del" Prompt there is the option to "logon with dialup connection"
which must be enabled and the VPN Connection must be the dialup connection
that is choosen.
I would recommend that you find a way to not use login scripts at all in
this situation. I also believe the loging off is not an "event" and will
not trigger anything to"run".
