I've to add that reading the reply on the subject "Publishing multiple websites" of 4-2-2004 from Tony Su in this newsgroup where he says "..The Incoming Web Listener works with Web Publishing rules, not Server Publishing rules..." could be an issue. I've read already something about it on one of my internet searches to scope for info on this, but (still) do not understand it completly. Do they mean the Array where you have a TAB where you can enter the IP address as a Web Listener? If so I wonder how you address the External IP address creating the Server Publishing Rule. ISA doesn't allow that? So anyhow I'm very much confused. I've spend the hole day today to get this Server Publishing rule working but, my webserver simply can't be reached internaly or externaly. The weird thing is that when I use the Web Publishing Rule every thing works fine. I only can't get the vistor's real IP address. And this I want badly!

So if there's anyone how can give me a hand, please let me know!

Regards,

Ernst

  Hi there,

  To log the real client IP on my apache webserver that's behind ISA, I understand that I can't make use of the Web Publishing Rule. So I defined a Server Publishing rule the way that's described in Publishing Multiple Web Sites. The problem is that I can't seem to get it working.

  My Internet Browser terurns the following error:
  "The Page cannot be displayed

  blablabla...
  403 Forbidden - The server denies the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Contact the server administrator. (12202)
  Internet Security and Acceleration Server"

  This is what i've defined in ISA:

  Server Publishing Rule:
  ========================
  General=Linux Web Server
  Action:
  IP address of internal server=192.168.2.150
  External address on ISA Server= 81.xx.xx.xx
  Mapped server protocol= Linux Web
  Applies to:
  This rule applies to=Any Request

  Protocol definition "Linux Web":
  ================================
  Parameters:
  Port number=80
  Protocol type=TCP
  Direction=Inbound

  Protocol Rules "Linux Web Server":
  ==================================
  Action:
  Action taken with requests=Allow
  Protocol:
  This rule applies to=Selected protocols
  Protocols=HTTP,Linux Web
  Schedule=Allways
  Applies to=Any request

  I completly lost in solving this problem, so I hope someone can put me on the right track again.

  Regards,

  Ernst Kazimir
