VPN is slow,...that's what VPN is, and always is,...slow.
On asyncronous lines like CableTV or ADSL it will only run at the slower
"upload" speed of the line.
Think of the speed your LAN would function if you an the old slow 10mbps
ethernet. The VPN is going to be over 5 times slower than that (about 1
to1.2 mbps or worse) no matter what speed claims the ISP may make about
their service.
