The RRAS/VPN box is supposed to have two nics and sit on the network's edge
like a router (a VPN Server is a type of router). If you are trying to run
it with one nic that may be the problem.
The best groups to post this in would be:
microsoft.public.windows.server.networking
Two of the guys most likely to give you the best help on this would be Bill
Grant or Mathieu Chateau. You can tell them I sent 'ya :-)
Sorry, RRAS isn't my strong area and it has been quite a while since I
messed with it.

Hello,
I am using Server 2005 w/o ISA - but found no other newsgroup which fits
this question. So hopefully some can help me herein.Let me first mention
that I am not familiar with Windows VPN server configuration.
I have a virtualized network 172.16.*.* one of the machines shall act as
VPN
server (172.16.0.251). When connecting to my VPN server from some windows
client I got a connection via which I can reach the VPN server itself but
it
is not possible to connect to any other machine in his network; for
example
making a tracert on 172.16.0.254 (a dhcp) I got only an answer from my
local
client and timeouts afterwards even if I change the routes myself to
"route
add 172.16.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0 172.16.0.251" - I deleted the
automatically
generated route before.
Where is my mistake ?
regards
Mark
