It's still RASDIAL.
You just didn't do it right.
VPN is just a dialup tecnology using, in most cases, the Windows DUN. VPN
is not a separate thing on its own. It is just a dialup connection that
uses an IP# instead of a phone number,...a Virtual Adapter instead of a
modem,...and PPTP (or L2TP) instead or PPP.
