Howdy,
ISA 2004 Standard on SBS 2003
WinXP Pro SP2
I vpn into a customer network and try running a web application hosted on
my local machine with their database on their network. After I VPN in, I
disable my firewall client in the task bar so i can access resources on
their network (RDP, telnet, file sharing all which work fine) When I'm
behind the ISA server my website can't find the database. I get the
following error in event viewer
Event ID 1
Application [aspnet_wp.exe]. Authentication failed. The user credentials
were not accepted by ISA Server. Verify that the user account running this
application has the required permissions.
My website is using the domain admin for its directory security. But I'm
guessing this is using ASPNET user account for the asp.net processes.
Anyway, i found the follow article
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/isa/2004/plan/troubleshooting_fwc.mspx
Which walked me through defining the firewall client settings and
specifying an application setting of aspnet_wp DisableEx 0. I then did a
net stop fwcagent and net start fwcagent on my PC and I still get that
error.
What do you think?
Thanks,
David Lozzi
