VPN User Cannot Access Email Server

I have a VPN user who cannot access our email server on VPN. The email
server is in our optional zone. The user is not able to access POP3 or
SMTP while VPN'd, but can access POP3 when she is not VPN'd. All other
users are able to access email while VPN'd.
She is using a Netgear router which is not blocking 110 or 25. She
could not get a reply while pinging the email server, but it did
resolve the IP. She has no personal firewall or windows firewall
turned on.
I don't know where to start with this, and my searches have not
returned anything helpful. Anyone have any ideas?
