Thanks for the reply.

well 2 weeks ago i was able to modify pritty much all the settings. the ones
in particular im trying to modify now are in the advanced tab (i was able to
modify these 2 weeks ago). all these options are now grayed out.

Everything is grayed out or only parts of the cache rule? It is normal
that some settings are grayed out. You must create a new Cache rule to
have full control over the most cache settings. You can move this custom
rule up in the rule order to give this rule priority
